Last week we were awarded with special recognition at the CPM International Management Conference 2022 which was held at Cinnamon Grand, Colombo. The conference themed ‘Management Practices Decoded: Disruptions and Choices’, focused on best management practices and adaptations in the industry as a result of the Covid-19 global pandemic.

CPM International Management Conference 2022 aims to capture the essence of good management, best practices and analyze cases of best management practices in various industries. At the CPM International Management Conference 2022, we presented our empathy-based adaptive and agile management style to overcome unprecedented challenges that were brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic. Our management practices helped us successfully overcome the challenges of the global health crisis of 2020 resulting from the Covid-19 outbreak.

In the face of an evolving global health crisis brought about by a highly infectious virus, we responded to government imposed lockdowns, quarantines and the threat of infection with its teams. The rapidly evolving political, economic and social landscape pushed us towards re-evaluating our growth plans and we were compelled to look inwards to strengthen, motivate and build resilience within our key asset base – our employees.

Early training and implementation of Agile software development best practices enabled the engineering functions to stay ahead of the global productivity breakdown and ensured that our engineering teams were empowered and fully capable of working from various remote locations.

Nirosh Perera, Chief Operating Officer for Tech Venturas stated “Our empathy based management style, tuned by the principle of  ‘Agile practices’ for managing both; the delivery of software projects and the human capital, gave us motivation and helped us to overcome the emotional and mental challenges of working from home.

The progressive and friendly management of agile best practices further helped the team achieve its objectives of growth – by way of increased customer acquisition, revenue increments, standards certifications, talent retention and expansion into new and diverse markets.

The Tech Venturas management team showcased excellence in empathy based leadership, inclusive employee development and continued sustainability of best practices.
